Originally called “The Look”, Jeff Goodwin Hair was established in Exeter, Devon in April 1984 and aimed to fill a gap in the hairdressing market.
At that time there were some salons in Exeter with good reputations for cutting and some with a friendly atmosphere but none with a reputation for both. With its unique philosophy, Jeff Goodwin Hair quickly filled that gap, gaining a reputation for cutting edge styling by intelligent caring professionals in a relaxed, friendly, boutique style salon. Discerning, fashion conscious customers including some South West based celebrities travelled from far and wide to experience the “Jeff Goodwin” service and our reputation for creative work earned Jeff three nominations in the prestigious British Hairdressing Awards, along with a string of accolades from top glossy magazines, a regular slot as resident expert on local BBC radio and a column in the “Express and Echo” newspaper. In the last decade, three of Jeff’s protégés have been finalists and winners in the British Hairdressing Awards.
The salon is contemporary and as fresh as it ever was although our philosophy has never changed, new services, products and creative customer care ideas are introduced regularly. It is our intention to always strive to be Exeter’s best hairdressers!
